WWE/NXT FaceMan Shoots Column on MOTY (Match of the Year: 1st half of 2016)

maxresdefaultSasha Banks versus Charlotte @ WWE RAW on July 25, 2016

Monday Night’s RAW on July 25, 2016 in an almost Main Event Match spot, Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair have a Wrestlemania-worthy-style match of 22 minutes. This was Charlotte’s best match or the match of her life so far. She has gotten a lot better and even more so, I would contend after they, meaning the WWE removed the gimmick of her father being her shadow, but it was good for her to have him around and help her, which he did.  It was cool at first, but it waned on the psyche the more he stayed around and helped her win, even though she is a Heel.  I.e., the Universe wanted her to be on her own, because we knew she could carry herself: solo; this constant, habitual inept proclivitiy of putting all females into trios and forcing them to work with one another, so that they could all get a so-called Rub is Huber-lazy since there are now women that CAN WRESTLE. In any event, the fans resisted these insulting trios, but I digress. Charlotte does have Dana Brooke, however, that is due to Emma getting injured from rupturing a disc in her back, which was just after they called Dana up to partner with Emma on the main roster like she did on NXT, so that she can learn since she is so “Green” (new and lacking know-how, etc.). She was good with Emma in NXT, so that was cool, but I would have sent her back down to cultivate her craft and possibly called her back up once Emma returns.

never beat meNevertheless, Charlotte was amazing in this match; she was selling extremely well, especially in the regard of becoming rattled during the match; i.e., that she was displayed a countenance of fear and sadness as if she was a young girl who’s favorite sentimental object/possession was being taken away or about to be harmed. She showed that fear of losing the title with a red face and watery eyes as well as verbiage too; e.g., she told Sasha earlier in the match that it was “her title“, i..e, you cannot have it. She also had a great a “I am sorry; I love you,” Shawn Michaels to Rick Flair 2008 Wrestlemania XXIV moment. Meaning, before she lost the belt, she and Sasha caught each other’s gaze, and Charlotte empathetic stated: “You will never beat me: EVER!” This was great and again underscored how she has completely developed her in-ring storytelling abilities. She conveyed, this is my title, this is my belt, this is my possession, I deserve it, and you cannot have it. And keep in mind she has been wrestling now for 4 years only. Compare that to either Bella (8.5 years each), Alicia Fox (9-10 years) and you she that she is a natural and she does opine how she loves the business and wrestling, so albeit some fans complained that she was crying, for me, it was great, because it was not blubbering, and more imperatively, it was showing us, the Universe, how much the title means to her; she of course had no issues with bestowing the title to Sasha, as Bayley and her have stated that Sasha is the best (at wrestling) as a Shoot. So, I surmise that she was sad a bit to lose it, because she worked her ass of to get, and with every former champion there has to be some sadness in letting it go, further, I feel that she was also crying out of happiness for Sasha.  Look at how she cried for Bayley at NXT Takeover in August of 2015 (2015 MOTY by the way) and Sasha. Remember, Four Horsewoman, so that is why her emotionality worked as she used it for the match, which heightened it and made it more real, because there is realism within the story/play/dance.

Banks_EntranceNow, for The Boss, My girl!!! Sasha Banks!!!! She came out to a big Pop, not huge, but a very good one. The fans, like I figured it, would be a good match, however, Charlotte would of course hang onto the title until Slummerslam in August and lose it to Sasha on a grander stage, per se. In any event, the fans were not overly excited at first, because of that in their/our minds. Sasha did her usual signature entrance and awaited the champion. Once Charlotte made her way into the ring, and the match started, they were grappling at first and this led to a sequence of Sasha being thrown into the ropes for Dana, who is outside the ring and thus, grabbed Sasha’s leg, impeding her motion; this made Sasha turn around only to be hit with a forearm from behind by Charlotte, which knocked her down; needless to say, the referee saw this and told Dana that he is watching her as he motioned to her that his eyes will be on her. This was foreshadowing to a great homage of a deceased and beloved Superstar a bit later in the match.

Some moves later leads to a Bank Statement by Sasha, but CharlotteBANKS-DOUBLE KNEE rolled over and got her feet under the ropes to break the submission hold.  Then as Charlotte got to the outside of the ring, Sasha did a hard baseball slide knocking Charlotte back and onto the floor. Sasha continued her onslaught by going to the corner or post outside the ring on the apron, and does a double-knee to the face smash onto the floor with Charlotte’s head being caught between Sasha’s knees as she tumbled backwards to the ground with Sasha’s bodyweight upon her neck and face.  A crazy Spot and it looked awesome too. A great newer move that she is doing/using outside the ring now.  The fans really liked that.  Then Charlotte  did a great Boot to Sasha and followed that with a sweet Neck-breaker on Sasha.

This lead to the aforesaid mention of a deceased Superstar. Sasha was outside on the ring apron and Charlotte elbowed or forearmed her in the head that knocked her onto the mat; and before going out onto the floor, Charlotte stood on the ring apron showing despair, and exclaimed that, “I am the champ!” And after Charlotte jumped down, she kicked Sasha head and back-first into the barricade that made a sickening thud.  But, before I continue, I must digress: Sasha has to be careful, because she Sells great, but in this case she whacked her head against the barricade fairly hard, and that could cause a concussion, and of course I want her to be healthy. Irrespetively, Charlotte then went and retrieved her belt, and proceeded to yell at Sasha, telling her that this is her belt, she doesn’t deserve it, and she cannot have it; Sasha kicked it out of her hand and rammed Charlotte back-first into the ring apron; Charlotte pushed Sasha awaBanks-Homage-EDDIEy and down in the mat, turned, and climbed back into the ring. Dana then came around to taunt Sasha, but Sasha had retrieved the belt and threw it at her, which Dana caught, and then did a self-backdrop onto the mat/floor, which made a sound; she then Sold that Dana had hit her with the belt and that she interfered now a second time after be warned. The Ref. saw this and pointed at her and made the iconic motion whilst screaming, “You’re gone” and thusly, threw her out of the match; and as Dana and Charlotte flipped out, the fans cheered; it also intimated that maybe Sasha will or could actually win. As Dana left, Sasha gave her a wink and a little wave goodbye; a Homage to Eddie Guerrero, Sasha’s Hero.  This was noted by Michael Cole; a very cool moment that Sasha had worked into the match; her Hero and reason for becoming a wrestler after watching him on this very show with the title belt. And now, here she is, paying veneration like other Superstars (all male until now) before her as many pay tributes with finishers or other moves from their Heroes growing up.  I would underscore her move as class and again, very cool. Eddie would call her his “little mamacita!”

One thing that SUCKED during this match was the THREE COMMERCIAL BREAKS; jeez, and during a Championship Match and one of such magnitude.  It was the only thing in poor taste in my humble opinion, I understand the money aspect, but they should have done this match, uninterrupted and cut the fat, per se somewhere else.  Notwithstanding, they went back and forth with offense and defense between oneNEW PANNING CAMERA another, thus, creating and ebb and flow (meter) to the match, which is great. It gave Sasha the chance to do another Double-knee smash drop, but inside the ring.  And this allowed the WWE the chance to use a new camera angle that is at the ring mat’s level when they were both lying on their backs on the mat. The camera slowly panned from one side to the other as they gathered themselves. Then they paid homage to Sami Zayn and Shinsuke Nakamura by standing in the center of the ring whilst trading forearm/elbow bashes as Zayn and Nakamura had done in Dallas, which I have below.  The fans really got behind Sasha with her forearms, which moments later led to the exquisite turn-buckle spring-board double-knee to the stomach of Charlotte who was stretched between the ropes.  Great move that she does and looks better in slow motion.  Then Charlotte had a sequence leading to a sweet standing neck-breaker.  Minutes later, Charlotte is outside the ring and Sasha goes for a suicide-dive between the ropes. Charlotte catches her a bit too late, and started to fall backward too early as well, which caused Sasha’s body to tilt/pitch downwards, aiming her head and face toward the floor: NOT GOOD.  As Charlotte fell backwards and as Sasha was in a vulnerable position, which at first looked like she did a Bayley-esk face-plant into the mat, but via the two replays, one being slow-motion, one can see her landing more on her shoulder. So, yet agin, and now for the 4th time in 3 huge matches, Sasha came close to becoming a parapalgeic or snapping her neck and thus, dying on the spot. It sucks to highlight that, but I care about her and the Wrestlers overall, and taking chances on moves like this will inevitably lead to the one instance, in which it has a negative, sad, and horrific ending. But, I HOPE that never happens, but tha chances will win in the long run, so she needs to be MORE CAREFUL! Ostensibly, it was surprising that she did not snap her collarbone, dislocate her shoulder, or snap her neck or back with how her body crunched itself accordion style.

Char on Sasha top rope belly bomb.pngThe above led to the third unsuccessful pin-fall as Sasha tried tp in Charlotte. This led to Charlotte taking advantage of Sasha who had climbing the ropes. She ran and knocked a standing Sasha onto her butt (on the top rope), to which Charlotte climbed the ropes and beat down on Sasha’s back proudcing loud dense thuds as she was emanating grunts of despair again as if she was wearing down and realized that she cannot beat Sasha. Then she picked Sasha up and dropped Sasha stomach-first onto the top rope, which looked painful; this set up the best Moon-sault in the business by Charlotte. Gorgeous to watch and again, even better in slow motion. Once Charlotte becomes a Face down the road, she will reap a lot fo Love form the Universe, because of this match and her overall development.

TO that, the fans chanted, “Holy shit” and that led to another unsuccessful pin-fall, this time by Charlotte on Sasha. Then it was Sasha getting a small-package on Charlotte, another near-fall, which pulled the crowd in more.  Then they traded Boots to one another, Charlotte got the better of that, which she followed up with “Natural Selection” or what was once “Bow Down to the Queen,” for yet another near-fall that had Sasha grabbing the ropes to break the count. A short time later, they ended up in the middle of the ring, Charlotte applying the Figure-four, that had Sasha slapping the hell of out charher after she had beat Charlotte’s knees first. They roll over twice into the ropes, which broke the count once again. Charlotte fell onto the mat/floor and slapped it in frustration, and sat in knee-bent straddle position breathing heavy and being emotional about having trouble in defeating Sasha. The conveyance was wonderful. She portrayed a champion losing their title, identity, being.  So, frustrated, Charlotte got into the ring to apply the Figure-four for the third time, but Sasha, reversed it with her signature Bank Statement to a roaring crowd. They rolled over once into the corner, so Charlotte could get her foot onto the rope to break the count once again.  Then the stared one another down from about 10 feet.

As mentioned in the second paragraph, the iconic moment of Charlotte telling Sasha that she will not beat her, but Sasha does with the final and successfully executed Bank Statement, that made Charlotte tap out and thus, crowning a NEW Women’s Champion to the huge Pop and delight of the Universe in attendance.  Sasha cried having her dream realized. Charlotte cried due to the full commitment to her craft, the emotionality of that, and the physical prowess it took to perform as such a high level. I feel that Sasha brought the best out of her. The Great ones do this.  Bayley has said that about her as well as Sasha saying that about Bayley.  So, I believe as good as Charlotte was before this match, she achieved another level in her craft, which I am happy for in doing so.  She knows now more than before that she can walk with the best, maybe not be at their level yet, but can hang, and thus, is leaps and bounds juxtaposed to the other ladies Superstars with all due respect.  Sasha and Bayley are the creme of the crop and arguably the best two females wrestlers in the world and top 10-12 maybe overall regardless of gender. I am very happy for Charlotte, and thrilled for the Sasha who did it Like A Boss!  Again, this was a Wrestlemania-worthy match; and if they hyped this for two weeks or until Slummerslam and then had Sasha win it, the Pop would have been even bigger, because this win was unexpected, however, that is why  I prefer this over waiting; this makes more sense, because it rode the wave of momentum of the adoration for Bayley and Sasha the night before at the Battleground PPV.  And that is something the WWE never does anymore like they did before years or decades ago now; i.e., they rode whomever was hot and everyone benifitted from that. So, having experienced that in the four decades of watchign wrestling, I am sure HHH kept chewing VKM’s ears off in flipping the script, per se, and going for it with the ladies leading the way. Well, that role of the dice, so to speak, was genius and it gave the fans or Universe what they wanted. Some can argue it was a bit late, other say a bit too soon; but for me, she should have earned the title at Wrestlemania 32 and had her moment in becoming champion then to then lose it to Bayley this coming year at Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando Florida.  This will be after Charlotte’s rematch at Slummerslam, in which I hope Charlotte and Sasha kill it once again; maybe the can do a “no-holds barred” match or a “street-fight” match? But, a match with no count-outs and no DQs is something a bit different for the Women and therefore, they would be the first to do it.

Sami Zayn versus Shinsuke Nakamura @ NXT on April 1, 2016

tumblr_o50ktgpPqS1sbzhteo1_400.gifWhat a great platform to make a debut as well as a way to say goodbye or receive a wonderful send-off from. This was the case for Sami Zayn as he was in his farewell or swan-song match against Shinsuke Nakamura who was making his first appearance. The crowd was so into this match before it happened. Zayn came out to a hero’s welcome or a welcome of the beloved Guardsman who is the representative of NXT. He was serenaded by the Universe, which needless to state, is very cool in having the Universe be compelled enough to sing; i.e., it is an immense demonstration of support for a Superstar or Wrestler who the fans are loyal too for his work effect, the development of his craft, the stories that he tells, and for be a genuinely likable person. Many hard-core fans know of him way before this match, but some have been fortunately introduced to him now. And HHH allowed the chorus to go two rounds before ending the song, so the fans could sing to him the one last chorus during his entrance.

After the fans showered their beloved Zayn, he squatted in one far-corner of the ring and awaited Nakamura. The lights went out, so it was pitch-black as the saying goes, until green lights and the guitar riff hit; the fans had been chanting “Na-Ka-Mu-Ra” for minutes and once he came out, the lid was blown off the sold-out Full-sail Arena in Florida awaiting Nakamura’s debut in NXT as he was signed a month prior.

maxresdefault-3.jpg

nakamura2.vadapt.664.high.7Shinsuke made is way to the ring doing his gigs and gesticulations. And once he got into the ring, looked at the hard-camera, made a sad face, per se, and did his signature pose off of the ropes, which the fans LOVED and reacted loudly too; then they serenaded him with “That was awesome” as well as saying “This is awesome” before the match started, as well as chanting “YES! YES! YES!” And also dueling chants of each of their names, back and forth.  [Videos: (1) (2) (3) (4)].

maxresdefault-1The storytelling was insane as they told one of the old guard passing the proverbial torch to the newcomer. In simple terms, Shinsuke had to prove himself, per se to the NXT crowd and Zayn would would hand the torch to Namkamura to carry on his departure. This was the story that they told so intimately and superbly as well. When the match started, Shinsuke ducked under the usual opening lock-up, the staple to the beginning of any match, and he turned around and laughed as Sami cracked a grin about the demeanor of Shinsuke.  Nakamura even got in a swagger to the opposing corner a little later on in the match.

JrZCuY8E.gifThey did “Strong-style” against one-another and did not have one “out-do” the other with heart or moves or storytelling. There were a few false-falls like the Blue-Thunder Power-Bomb that Shinsuke kicked out of towards the end of the match. Shinsuke, due to strong-style, got a bloody nose from all the forearms that they were doing to one another, plus, his nose may be sensitive to bleeding since Nakamura did real MMA fighting and had it broken several times; he even took on a Gracie in 2002 before doing Wrestling full-time, so his nose may bleed easier with light contact, but that is my speculation. So, when “strong-style was displayed by Shinsuke, Sami returned by obliging him with Sami-Strong style. He used closed-fisted punches that he hurled upon Nakamura who was on the mat and into the ropes, which led to Sami using his foot on Nakamura as Nakamura had done to Sami earlier in the match. And the fans were so into the match with every move, spot, technique, swagger, look, and emoting these two did. E.g., they traded off techniques as they stood in the ring (two times) throwing wild forearms bashes at each others face or the sides of each other’s head.  So many of the elbows, especially from Nakamura that seemed almost real; he has one beautiful one in which he picks up one leg and then pumps it as he delivers a forearm elbow bash to his opponent, as he did to Zayn in this match. Moreover, he usages of knees too is great. He also got to do a little bit of Karate-esk or kickboxing-esk kick and punch combination, which Sami avoided by hugging the ropes with his backside as he pulled himself out of range of the Nakamura’s kicks.

The match lasted for 20+ minutes and it flew by; further, it got a first ever head, “Fight Forever” chant, that in 40+ years of watching wrestling, I have never heard. And one thing that may tilt the scale of some for it being MOTY is that they both went into it COLD, meaning, they did NOT talk or go over ANYTHING in the match; they wanted to challenge themselves (my perception) by walking into a match with someone amazing and seeing what and how they could do the match and that is what makes this extremely special. Especially when most know that the Superstars will at least talk about some of the spots or the major ones as well as who wins, how that person wins, and any Heat moments, etc.; so, considering that, it really makes this match stand out even more so, because usually that type of scenario would be horrendous in terms of a match with the Superstars not knowing what to do and how that messes one’s meter or timing up tremendously.  When watching this match, one forgets it is a match and gets lost in the storytelling by the Wrestlers in the ring, which usually have a long history against one another or with one another; thus, creating familiarity with one another and this is displayed by good timing/meter between the two as well as fluidity, transitioning, spots, and the already mentioned storytelling.

That is a huge reason aside from the entire match, which is awesome, amazing, or incredible, again for me, the cold meeting in the ring and to manifest what they did only underscores the immensely HIGH ability (talent) and Creativity these two as artists demonstrated to pull off the match that they did. Not to mention, they are so good that the called spots were never illuminated (heard), which happens far too often in today’s product with some Superstars talking too loudly and the camera mics. picking up the said spots.  Further, virtually the entire story was done inside the squared-circle with some briefs moments outside of it to draw the crowd in more.

maxresdefault-2.jpgAnd at the end, Nakamura was put Over as he was genuinely touched by the experience. He showed veneration towards Sami by squatting down at first to Sami, but once Sami stood up, so did Shinsuke. He had his hand outstretched whilst saying to him (in the corner) something about making one another bleed or about his blood, so I guess it is symbolic of being “blood brothers.” He also pulled Sami in for a hug and left the ring, so that Sami could get the proper send-off, but not before Sami grabbed his hand and raised his arm, which got a huge remaxresdefault-0sponse.

So, there was Sami in the ring, alone and being serenaded by “Oh-lay, Oh-lay, Oh lay…” and “Thank you Sami,” which had huge applause appended to it as well as the singing to his theme music as he walked slowly up the ramp taking in all that was being bestowing onto him via the Universe. He turned at the beginning of the ramp that faces the ring, he looked around a bit, put his hand to his mouth, and blew a kiss as he waved goodbye for the last time.

Clearly, I could write more, but overall, the feeling has been conveyed about the overall importance and meaning of this match and why it is either MOTY or tied to MOTY with Sasha Banks versus Charlotte for the Women’s title on RAW (7/25/16).

Sami Zayn versus Kevin Owens @ BATTLEGROUND on July 24, 2016

This was one of their best matches, but I am sure they might contend otherwise considering their 13-14 year reign of matches. Nonetheless, it was a great match and had superb storytelling and ring psychology. The story told between them was about Sami finally getting the better of Owens who had gotten the best of him over many times prior to this match.  That is why this match is so wonderful and contender for MOTY due to their history/back-story and how this match came to fruition. They “killed it” as the saying goes and many will argue, and rightfully so, that this is the MOTY for 2016.

They were able to do all their signature moves and Kevin was so great at the little things or moments, such as talking to the referee during the match; e.g., telling him,, “this is how yo do it,” and telling the ref. that Sami wished to give up or quit when he had Sami in a “choke hold.” They both sold for each other and Kevin makes great grunts and painful sound-effects when being hit, which is a great conveyance.  Sami wassami-zayn amazing as well, pulling the crowd into his journey to overcome all that is Kevin Owens in his WWE career. At one of the briefs moments of them being outside the ring, Sami attempted a springboard suicide black-flip onto an awaiting Owens, but it seemed that the top rope was too lose and therefore, he had no spring, so he basically fell downwards into the rope, post-injured shoulder first into the apron, the hardest part of the ring.  He sold it as if his shoulder was really bothering him. But most of us watching were saying, I hope he is alright and did not mess his shoulder up. This Owen used as the Heel to target; he whacked Sami’s arm against the post several times to gain Heat before tossing him into the ring, which gave Sami the instance for a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall.

Around the two-thirds mark, Sami did an Exploder Suplex into the turn-buckle to which Owens then fell down to roll out of the ring to avoid a Helluva kick; Sami then climbed to the post to jump onto him, they wrestled until Sami executed a Brain-buster on Owens onto the mat-apron of the ring. It was a devastating Spot and looked great; Owens then even more brilliantly, slowly rolled and fell onto the mat as if he was dead. Classic and why most love Owens; he gets it; he and Sami are old-school and Owens gets to shine that old-school way by being a Heel.  It was a great Spot and the crowd thought Sami had killed Owens. A short bit later, they are in the ring doing hockey-styled punches, getting the crowd hyped as Sami beats down Owens to the mat to the cheers of the crowd/Universe.

Owens did have a small comeback, so to speak, he was able to get to the top ropes and deliver a beautiful Eddie Guerrero Frog-splash onto Sami.  It is truly remarkable how poetic it is when Owens does this with a more normal type of physique albeit, he is almost 300 lbs.; the move is awesome and the fans love it too. Then to come full circle to the crescendo, Sami does a gorgeous Whirlwind Tornado DDT off the top ropes, which begins to set up the final act of their play; as the crowd hinged on everything, the last sequence unfolded; Sami was able to do several Exploder-Suplexes (his second of 3 or 4 sets of them) and the first signature Helluva kick after the above DDT sequence, setting up the best and most poignant moment of this match; it was the “I am sorry; I love you,” Shawn Michaels to Rick Flair 2008 Wrestlemania XXIV moment. Now, Sami having caught Kevin who fell into his arms after taking the first Helluva kick to the face, was slowly hoisting upwards and towards the turn-buckle by Zayn. However, Sami stopped, looked at his Owen’s face, holding it for a moment as if to reflect and to give it meaning (that’s storytelling) and then proceeded to push-prop him against the turn-buckle as Sami then turned as ran towards the opposing corner. He stood there for a second and then ran forward, delivering the second said kick. Pin-fall was next that had the crowd counting. Game, set, match: Zayn. Truly a phenomenal match and one of many that we will see in the near future as these two are the foundation to the WWE for which it stands, so to speak.

Suffice it to say, this match clearly stole the show and was the best match of the night; they rightly so got the “This is Awesome” chants during their match as well as a standing ovation too. Needless to say, the crowd was spent after this match, which was thoroughly enjoyable and would be MOTY for me, if not for the Nakamura & Zayn match or Charlotte vs Sasha RAW Title Match. Notwithstanding, the Sasha & Bayley versus Charlotte and Dana at this very PPV was very good and had the PPV moment of the night and also for the entire year of 2016, in which Bayley, after 10-11 months of waiting, finally got her debut in a WWE event (LIVE show) to a thunderous and virtual Stone Cold Steve Austin Pop. Her Pop was unbelievable and even VKM (Vincent Kennedy McMahon) and his Egoistic and insular views had to take note. That match was good, but Dana was out of place and sadly, it made the match less-polished then it would have been with another wrestler in there, as she was slow to getting to Bayley and Sasha at the beginning of the match and so much so that Charlotte had to attack both of them as Dana was late in doing so, but I digress.

Sami Zayn/Kevin Owens Fatal Four-Way @ Money in the Bank on June 19, 2016

This was an excellent match and I enjoyed the work and storytelling within the match. All of the Superstars were great and there were many great sp183_WM32_04032016rf_2110--2339059f0a82d8a4c0ccb1f9e6df0d43ots in it; the best one being when Zayn suplexed Owens onto a ladder, which incapacitated Owens for the remainder of the match. It was MOTN or MOTPPV.

The match started with a Helluva kick from Zayn, which was funny. And any time those two were in the ring, the crowd eat it up. It is also great how they do the hockey type fighting simulation with grabbing one another around the head and throwing punches; but, in hockey, one grabs the neck of the jersey, preferably. They were really the whole match as the Universe awaited their brawl match at BATTLEGROUND, which proceeded this.  For me, this match gets the honorable mention via respect for how good they were in it, but the above three, are superior in many ways, albeit, they were the easily best two aspects of this match and PPV.

WWE/NXT FaceMan Shoots Column on Wednesday Night NXT (Review & Sasha vs Bayley II) – 09 17 15

Welcome WWE Universe to FaceMan Shoots on Column on NXT Women’s Wrestling/Wrestlers

FSC is my humble opinions on WWE/NXT Superstars (current or former).

WWE’s Monday Night’s RAW – 09 14 15

NXT_new_logo_2Wednesday Night’s NXT show was decent overall; it had a couple matches with introductions to some new talent, which is good.

The show started with Tyler Breeze being introduced with his iPhone with a personalized iPhone case of himself, actually kind of funny, who then had Adam Rose come out to tell the people that he is tired of them “Pooping on his party,” so now he will do it to everyone. But, this was interrupted by Bull Dempsey (segment@WWE). Bull defends himself after being slapped by Rose, inevitably throws Rose out of the ring.  After that opening segment, Tye Dillinger was up againstDanny Burch (a.k.a. “10”) had a short match, but it was okay, and “10” is working on his gimmick, so that was fine.

kanaanncThen there was a backstage promo with Rhino and Baron Corbin, which was short, but good. Corbin finally talked a little; Rhino was very good.  Then a good promo for Kana, a Japanese wrestler (Kanako Urai via wikis) that the WWE has just signed; she will be starting in NXT and I am sure called up rather quickly. I feel that she is going to NXT to be introduced to WWE-styled wrestling and to learn some of their camera angles, etc.; it has nothing to do with her lack of pedigree; she is a professional, but again, I figure Vince’s wants to “Vin-cent-ize-her”; nevertheless, her in-ring name will be Asuka as reported by Wrestling INC in their article: Kana’s New WWE NXT Name Revealed, Bayley To Wrestle Indie Star On NXT, WWE’s George Barrios by Marc Middleton. This was followed by Apollo Crews versusSolomon Crowe; it was good seeing Crowe get some air-time and to help put over Crews. He could be a big star; he seems to really enjoy the Art or Craft of Wrestling. This was followed by The Dusty Rhode’s Tag-Team Championship Quarter-Final Match, in which Rhino and Corbin took on Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano (match)@WWE. Again, decent; Rhino and Corbin go the win with Corbin’s End of Dayssignature.

WWE.Bayleys Biggest Fan - IzzyOnce again, a backstage promo with The Vaudevillians (Simon GotchAiden English), that was interrupted by Alexa Bliss leading the former Tag-Team Champions whom The Vaudevillians beat, Blake and Murphy. Their evoking their ‘rematch clause’; so, I presume maybe at the next NXT Takeover on October 7th. But, the finale for NXT was Bayley’s return to the ring as Champion. She got a good reception, not like the one in Brooklyn, but it was nice, and she went around giving hugs and saying hi to her number one fan, which is really sweet of Bayleyto do so. Then before Bayley got into the ring, she ran outside around the barricade and run into the fans and up a ramp holding her belt up in th air. It was cool ,because the fans cheered her as well as chafed her name and saying “she deserves it.” She bestowed more hugs on her way back to the ring. However, before she did, she went to her number one fan, this 7-8 little girl, Izzy. It is very sweet of Bayley to take the time and acknowledge her. And in this show, she also picked her up and took her into the ring with Izzy’s own replica belt that she had. And Bayley invited her to do her customary “high ten” to all of her (Bayley’s ) fans when she enters a ring, before she wrestles. Izzy seemed thrilled almost beside herself, and her parents very very thankful. Her mother was crying with joy for her daughter.

Bayley and Sasha.0

Once Bayley got into the ring and ready for the match, she took on Sarah Dobson (a.k.a. Sarah Bridges or Crazy Mary Dobson) in her debut; Bayley won in short fashion, winning with her Bayley-to-Belly.  Then she grabbed a microphone and started to speak, but she was interrupted by Sasha, which was classic Heel psychology (Sasha Banks confronts NXT Women’s Champion Bayley: WWE NXT, September 16, 2015@WWE). Sasha got into the ring and told her that she was not there to bash Bayley and actually commended her; she talked about how people are saying that their match “stole the show,” that is was the best match in the history of the WWE Divas as well as reiterating how people said it was Match of the Year. This got the fans chanting that, which was cool; and all the while Sasha was holding back tears; it was easy to see that she was trying not too and stay in character. Bayley smiled a little, but held the persona up, but Sasha has been really touched by all the support from fans and male wrestlers as well as the Powers that Be, and she know that they made history by being themselves: wrestlers. Her eyes were glassy, but she stayed composed and then got into her Heel-ish mode by telling Bayley that she wants to beat her “over and over again.” Then NXT Commissioner William Regal came out to announce that Sasha will get her rematch on the next NXT Takeover on October 7th. And that it would also be a 30-minute Iron-Man Match; the fans loved this and actually chanted “Iron-Woman Match” prior to Regal’s entrance; I also think it would be better to call or designate it as such, i.e., “Iron-Woman Match” to be respectful of gender.

Bayley and Sasha.1

It was really great and I am very happy for Bayley and Sasha. Now, they have a lot to live up to, so to speak. Further, Regal also added that this match will be the Main Event, which is also great! And as he said, “because they deserve to.” So, this should be a wonderful match and they can do something even more special by having this allotted time to do so. They should make it No DQ or Count-out, so that they can brawl outside the ring as well. Further, in the next 3 weeks until their match, they can have a few run-ins with one another to create another awesome promo, which they have for the Championship match. I feel that it is important since they used it so well in the first match, and it is even more important now, and it can emphasize not only their feud, but that it is a half-hour match, the first of its kind in the WWE history. See bailey speak on the aforesaid: Bayley and Regal comment on the historic TakeOver main event: WWE.com Exclusive, Sept. 16, 2015@WWE.

Sasha Banks with Mic

Needless to say, I am very excited and it is unfortunate that it is not taking place in Barclay Center in Brooklyn or Madison Square Garden. But, I hope the smaller NXT audience really gets behind both of them in their match. I also hope that neither of them get too crazy in their spots, because I do not wish to see either of them injured in any way.

WWE/NXT FaceMan Shoots Column Monday Night RAW (Current Divas’ Champion Reign) – 09 14 15

Welcome WWE Universe to FaceMan Shoots Column on NXT Women’s Wrestling/Wrestlers

FSC is my humble opinions on WWE/NXT Superstars (current or former).

WWE’s Monday Night’s RAW – 09 14 15

FaceManBuddha - WWE Monday Night RAW - Divas Match Let Down - 09 14 2015 copyThere were two matches on RAW that involved “divas”; the first being Saha Banks and Paige, which was cool by idea, but the match was just okay; I like them both very much, and Sasha is my favorite female Wrestling Superstars as well as top favorites overall (including both genders).  As I mentioned in my video post about RAW, Paige is not as sharp and concise as she once was when she first started; and I feel or surmise that this is due to her “wrestling” so-called “divas”, most of which are not into wrestling and have not cultivated their craft/discipline. And possible, and I reiterate, possibly due to that, she had a botched German Suplex, in which Sasha landed more on her next then her back; like beautiful executed Reverse Hurricanrana or Bayleycanrana, Sasha landed more wrong than right, and also landed on her head. She also did a Diving Somersualt over the top rope and also over the referee too. Bayley got her decently, but it looked like she took a decent impact from the landing more on her upper neck, so she has to be careful. However, in regards to this match, Paige did said move could also be due to Sasha, but it is hard to control how one lands being toss heads over heels backwards, so. I just hope the Sasha is careful and that the girls do not put each other at risk over moves or spots.

People say that the Bellas have gotten so much better, and that they have cultivated their craft in the ring and are “really good,” that they are “passionate,” and are doing the best that they can. One needs to keep in mind that the Bellas have been in the WWE since 2008, now 9 years. The tried to get a reality-based “tv” show about themselves in a two-year self-termination from the WWE in which they failed, only to return to the WWE and be allowed to come back; they had NO significance when in the WWE prior, so there was virtually no reason to offer them new contracts, especially with the fact that they were not wrestlers at all and have not been watching as a life-long fan.

Many reading this may espouse, “since when does one have to watch it from a child or be a fan of it?” And that is understood, but one is not comprehending what I am underscoring. And that is that neither of these girls, who are actually into their 30s (mid 30s), ever liked or cared about the very field that they are in, and one in which they are paid very well to do so, in addition to being the highest in their demography (female divas). Yes, Brie and Nikki have gotten better since they arrived, but in almost 9 years, they are superbly lacking all all fronts in wrestling. They have characterless-characters; they promos are bland and completely no-engaging; the story-lines that they are thrust into are vapid and no fan is into them in any way or manner aside form little teenage girls that think that wearing a ton of makeup, wearing skimpy outfits showing off your bodies, and dating the right guy is what life is about; clearly not role models and is clearly how they view themselves, which is asinine. If either of the Bellas were interested in their craft of wrestling, then it would be EVIDENT in their performance; and the only thing Paige_V_1that is evident is that they do not practice nor care, hence, their lack of skills is ostensible; that is one reason why Paige has become a “jobber,” per se; she was so much better when she first came into the NXT/WWE, and now, after years of wrestling god-awful fake or phony “wrestlers” like the Bellas, she has lost her sharpness, and her skills are now have regressed. And that is a shame, since was very good, but she can attain that again, as long as she is with Wrestlers and not trying to baby non-wrestlers in a ring.

For anyone to argue that the Bellas are great and have done so much for Wrestling, I would humbly argue, if you have been a fan of said sport since at least the 70s or 80s, then there is no way one can contend that either of them have helped the WWE in the female aspect; in fact, it is hugely arguable that they both have destroyed it with being in every RAW, Smackdown, and PPV featuring their unimportant matches and terrible characterless-characters. Thus, to only slightly improve is to underscore the fact that neither of them truly care; Nikki only wanted fame and fortune, which is why she is with JC now, as she was once with Dolph Ziggler when he was hot for a few years; she wants to be married to JC for all the wrong reasons, i.e., ego-trip, like many women who desire to marry into money, therefore, it is very seldom of love. And Brie wanted to be married as well, so she could have a child, which she is seemingly pushing onto Bryan about having. So, not that I hate these two girls or wish them any ill-will; I am just so over them in the WWE and making the division laughable or sickening to be more truthful; they need to go to NXT and develop themselves if they truly love the art; but, I guarantee you if they told them they were being sent down, they would quit out of insecurity and Ego. Instead of saying, hey this is our life, and we will do it to prove something, and to improve our craft, they would quit, thinking they their are the “trend-setters” of wrestling, which is clearly delusional and not based in reality. However, I digress too much.

Suffice it to say, wearing makeup, walking around half-naked, and having no skills other than sexual ones, is not the girl a true man wishes to bring home and have children with; i.e., that is a girl that you use for sex and if you are stupid, you will fiancé it, out of insecurity and desperation.

nxt-takeover-bayley-sasha-banks-600x300Irrespectively, The “divas division” needs to end, so that the Women’s Wrestlingbecomes the advent of WWE; these Women Wrestlers need to be calledSuperstars, but not along with the current “divas” who cannot wrestle and do not care too as well. And why Natalyais being douched makes no sense at all; her and Charlotte last year had a wonderfully great match! It was my favorite until Sasha and Bayley at NXT Takeover in Brooklyn. She could be a HUGE face too, but they do not use her, which they should NOW do so.

Charlotte Flair and Nikki Bella

Needless to say, I was hoping that Nikki would lose and get beat pretty easily too, but having stated that, I also knew of the Night of Champions PPV (NOCs PPV) that they would more than likely use for the changing of the belts. I was however hoping that it would be Sasha an Charlotte at NOCs. But, no, that would be too wise, per se of the WWE to do so; instead, they went with a incredible childish story lien of the “Twin Magic” in which Brie slips int to he match for Nikki, but got rolled up, pin, and thus loses her sister’s title. However, Stephanie McMahonsaunters down the ramp and says that the belt canon change hands in such fashion, which is ludicrous, because how many times (3-4) did Brie do this to save Nikki from losing her belt in which she retained it. So, vapid storyline, and a way to dump on AJ Lee’s true title reign. This illuminates Vince’s Ego and his strange and close relationship to his almost Boy-Toy John Cena. I find it strange that JC went and requested that Charlotte not win the belt as she requested. So, now after another crappy match that meant nothing, Nikki unjustly continues to hold onto the belt that means absolutely nothing as she is the most or by far the least defending champ of all time and that should be int he WWE history books, which it will never be; i.e., that Nikki has barely or in the history of the WWE, defending her title the least of anybody. And held onto int by more silly-scripted and useless manners or ways in which to do so. Needless to state, this undermines AJ’s record and puts Nikki on par with her; and no one thinks this has ANYTHING to do with Vince’s and JC’s relationship? It has nothing to do with my personal perspective, it is what is ostensible. Further, did any else notice the non reaction to Nikki parading around with her belt or the “Bella-tron”? No one cares; Nikki got a smattering of appease, by teenage girls; so, with maybe 200-300 people and that is being considerate clapping for her, they view Nikki as a successful Heel Wrestler? She gets no Heat at all and any story that her and her sister are put or thrust into, they die off abruptly, because no one cares.

Big-E-AJ-Lee

Big E took to Twitter about his disappointment with Nikki retaining and beating AJ’s record, from Wrestling Rumors: “Big E Upset Over Nikki Bella Breaking AJ Lee’s Divas Championship Record,” by Chris Walder, he writes:

What is this?!? pic.twitter.com/DXv9vpheAX

— Epsilon (@WWEBigE) September 15, 2015

Memories and whatnot. pic.twitter.com/x0smKVxLES

— Epsilon (@WWEBigE) September 15, 2015

Memories and whatnot.

So, it was another unfortunate part to an already overall bad and boring RAW; I heard some sway it was a good show, but for me, and humbly so, it was not; the writing is abysmal. And Vince is still into controlling everything. I much rather and look forward to NXT week to week, then RAW. And in regards to NXT, there have only been two shows that were okay; all of the other ones, have been very good, excellent or amazing.Captura-de-pantalla-2015-09-15-a-las-7.32.40-AM

Furthermore, it would be great if Bayley gets called up to the main roster and they exit-out the Bellas for a much needed and LONG OVERDUE break (vacation time). And in this way, let Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Becky Lynch, Natayla, Paige and a hopefully just returned AJ Lee rock the “divas division” into oblivion and hence, spark the dawn of Women’s Wrestling.

Now, I hope that Charlotte wins and dethrones Nikki (FINALLY) and then losesnxt carmella. alexa her belt to Sasha at the following PPV; then they call up Bayley in which by then she will have had a reign of two months as Champ therefore, she can be a surprise introduction into RAW the night after Sasha wins; this sets up Saha, Charlotte and Bayley as the next WWE Women’s Champ. This also involves Becky, Paige, and I hope Natalya as well. This also gives time for Alexa Bliss, Carmella, and that new girl Nia Jax, not to mention Kana, whom the WWE just signed.

BayleyMoreover, there is going to be another Sashasasha versus Bayley Match at NOC for the title; this should be a wonderful match, and if they can come on par with their last match, that would be amazing, but I am sure they wish to surpass that one. Bayley should retain, because Sasha is on the main roster, so for her to win and regain the title, would not make sense. Plus, Bayley will come off a strong if she wins again; one of the few that have beaten Sasha. This will help her character for when she is called up, again, I hope after Sasha beats Charlotte for the WWE title after NOC (it could be a Main Event of RAW). Then the following week, Bayley shows up with her NXT title that she can lose to someone in NXT (Kana, Nia Jax, Alexa?) for her to join the other 3 Horsewomen.

WWE/NXT FaceMan Shoots Column (Women Superstars / Women’s Championship) – 09 05 15

Welcome WWE Universe to FaceMan Shoots Column on NXT Women’s Wrestling/Wrestlers

FSC is my humble opinions on WWE/NXT Superstars (current or former).

Women Superstars

WWE NXT TakeOver - BrooklynSo, having thoroughly enjoyed watching the NXT Takeover in Brooklynon August 24th, 2015, I was so happy for Women’s Wrestling and especially for Sasha Banks and Bayley! This can be seen on the WWE Network or also finally on YouTube here: NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 2015 – Bayley vs Sasha Banks.

Suffice it to say, these Superstars should have Main Evented it and not co-main eventide it, with all due respect to the men. I would hope that the male superstars were giddy for the girls who went out there and rocked the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Ecstatically, I was very immersed in the match and it was CLEAR that it was the main match the most wished to see and more imperatively bought their tickets to see; i.e., the Women’s title match was what most of the people went to see and thus, purchased their tickets for; the match had the most Pops in it as well as “oohs” and “ahhs” in it from the crowd. Not to mention, the most chants too; the fans were captivated like a WrestleMania match, per se; i.e., their were 100% vested into it.

Many blogs and Wrestling Websites also commented and underscored how the Ladies should have finished the show. It was such a fun match that told a great story; it was akin to watching old-time male wrestlers back in the day leading the audience to this point and that point; and getting them engaged into the match itself. The few false-finishes were great as most people thought Sasha would be triumph and when Bayley did her first signature: Bayley-to-Belly, most thought Sasha would not kick out, but of course she did, creating more drama and angst amongst the audience.  And the work on Bayley’s hand and arm by Sasha was truly classic and wonderful ring psychology. This was such as great way to help Bayley get sympathy and she sold it well as the fans were “Ohhhhing”  when Sasha kicked the stairs in which Bayley’s hand was lodged between it and the ring.

One of the best part that got almost everyone was when Sasha had Bayley in the Bank Statement Submission and Bayley reversed it; the crowd went nuts off that and rightfully so.  It was a sweet reversal and unexpected. Sasha used her foot to put onto the ropes to break the count and save herself for the moment. There were two moments of concern though; one, Bayley doing a face plant into the mat when Sasha “pushed” her from the top ropes. Bayley landed awkwardly and I was very happy she was not injured in any way, but it could have been devastating as well as when bailey did the reverse hurricanrana from the top rope and Sasha landed on her head almost breaking her neck; I feel they both “lucked-out” and THANKFULLY so; they were putting everything on the line, but they damn-near killed themselves in the process, so I hope they are more careful, because if either of them gotten injured and to an extreme point, it would have destroyed the entire division, and more importantly, been very sad to see either of those great Superstars devastatingly hurt. So, I am happy they are well! Also, another great spot was Sasha using the ropes to then run across the ring and to jump head over heels on top of the bent-over ref and onto Bayley who was thrown outside the ring; it was a crazy spot and awesome as well. Sasha also had a nice jump knee drop from the top ropes onto Bayley lying on the mat as she pinned Bayley’s shoulders with her knees whilst holding onto Bayley’s legs for a near pin-fall, which Bayley kicked out of and again, got the “ooooh” from the crowd as well as Sasha playing it off as “how could she kick out”; great work!

Of course there was Sasha’s patented knee drop, but this one was from the top rope, which the fans went “oh” for when she put Bayley atop the ropes. She paused and looked at the audience, which was great show-womanship! Sasha is so good and my favorite women’s wrestler, albeit, I pulled for Bayley and am soooo happy for her. I did want her to win over Sasha, but I knew Sasha would then be giving the belt to her, so that Sahsa would go to the main roster.  I found out recently that Sasha has been wrestling for years, now 5 years since her NXT debut in December of 2012; her wrestling debut was in October of 2010 as  Mercedes KV in Chaotic Wrestling; further, so she is a wrestler unbeknownst to most; I was sadly under the impression when she first started in NXT 2-3 years ago, that she was fairly new to the game, but I was completely wrong. and she is about to turn 24 too!

Nevertheless, those were the only two incidents of “concern”; so, other than that, their match wasCharlotte versus Natalya match of the year 2014 great; it was even better than two prior matches, in which Sasha was involved in one against Charlotte at NXT defending her belt, and also the one in which Charlotte took on Natalya. Those two prior matches were awesome. The Charlotte versus Natalya match was amazing (See here @DailyMotion). And even Diva Dirt wrote an article about it being the “Writers’ Choice Awards 2014: Match of the Year.”  The above were great matches, but I feel that the Sasha and Bayley for the NXT Women’s Championship was the BEST of the three; and that is saying a lot as the Charlotte versus Natalya one was so awesome; it reminded me of how good Natty is and who she is under-used, but I will digress to that shortly when writing about the “divas” on television currently. But, pertaining to Sasha and Bayley, it could not have been any better; the entrances were great, which followed an old-school thereafter a perfect Bayley Promo; the fans greeted Bayley with affection too. Her mother and brother were in the front row facing the ring. And Sasha had a great heel entrance with its over the top “body-guards” or “security” after being driven in by an Cadillac Escalade. It was the perfect Heel entrance after the Face promo for Bayley and the fans enjoyed it as well. Then in typical Heel form, Sasha trashed-talked Bayley at the start of the match to which Bayley unleashed a flurry of punches. This match was about 25 minutes or around.  And there was not a lull or dull moment; the peaks and valleys or highs and lows were again perfect. They both showed how good they are and their profession as well as that they can tell a story if given the opportunity to do so in the ring. And so, the normal vapid story-lines of the WWE’s god-for-awful “divas division” of cat fighting and baseless characters, which is basically run by the Bellas is at the very least nauseating. And at the most, overdone and run it sad course.

Divas Division”

hot-bayley-nxt-hd-wallpapers-divaNow regarding the aforementioned “division” it is truly horribly and has been for 8-9 years now, I think since 2008, which is the Bellas’ inaugural year. And needless to say, it has been a LONG 8-9 years. They are in EVERY RAW and EVERY SMACKDOWN show and EVERY PPV too.  So, that is TOO MUCH!!!! Especially with their vapid characterless characters. They bring nothing to them and their matches are just as erroneous. For the almost 10 years that they have been in Wrestling, their “crafts” have barely gotten any better; yes, they have improved, but in a decade they have not cultivated their craft at all, so how can they are considered good?? Further, they clearly do not care about wrestling as they were NEVER fans of it; moreover, they left for two years to pursue a Reality TV show, which failed, and because of Nikki’s relationship withJohn Cena, they were allowed to come back and were wrongly pushed. Considering that if they was a male, they would have been termed half-way through their sad tenures.  It is ostensible that Nikki and who she is involved with to put it nicely is the ONLY reason she is champion, and her sister just rides the coat-tails of a meaningless “diva’s division” in the WWE that NO ONE cares about, i.e., the WWE Universe/fans. Their feud between themselves was horrible and unbelievable as well; and again, NO ONE cared; their matches usually get no responses from the fans at all and when they do, it is booing or usually consisting of chanting of other people’s names and random stuff to show the WWE that NO ONE cares for them to be in their positions. They have both, along with Vince McMahon and his love and loyalty for John Cena to allow them to waste time and destroy what could be a great Women’s Division of Superstars.

imgresFurther, if they removed the moronic name ‘divas’ and got rid of the Bellas, Ava Marie, Cameron, and probably Alicia Fox too, and used PaigeNatalyaCharlotte Sasha, Bayley, Alexa Bliss, Tamina Snuka, Becky Lynch, and Emma and Naomi, then they can and SHOULD change the title and division to the Women’s Division and call them Superstars too out of respect since these women can wrestle. They could even do a Inter-gender tag title matches too for 6 months out of the year and have an Annual Championship match at WrestleMania for the belts. And by doing it for 6-mints, it will make it more special as well. Additionally, Summer Rae and Lana can be valets as they are since they actually have personalities and thus, stay doing what they are, but the divas’ division needs to be omitted and in turn, manifest the Women Superstars!

What I would do if I was Vince is first let HHH or Paul Michael Levesque take over as he has for NXT; and I think things would prosper; also, I was not too fond of Stephanie McMahon claiming to have instilled or manifested the “divas revolution”; clearly she has not, and albeit, I think she is great and love her being a Heel as that “bitch” that she plays so well in the ring, she is not responsible at all for the Women Wrestlers and for me, it is at a slight to the all the mostly male trainers who helped these ladies as well as a slightsashabanks1 to the ladies too whom all truly wished to wrestle and not be T&A or ‘divas’,  which are both insulting to them all. Then allow or have Sasha win the meaningless belt from Nikki, and the next day on RAW come out with a NEW Women’s Championship belt à la the WWE Heavyweight one. She can expunge the old one. And sport the new one and have it customized to the Boss. That would be wonderful; then Sasha can spout how it is no more the “divas revolution” malarkey, but the Women’s Era! The fans would love that and support it tremendously as they would be grateful of the end of the Bella’s almost 10-year run of malaise and reality-based teen-age cat-fighting. For me, if you cannot wrestle then either be stay the background or find another suitable livelihood.

This could spark Natalya into being a huge Face and to finally underscore how good she is. Then Paige, Natalya, and Charlotte can vie for the belt as they bring up Bayley and into the mix. Then let  Alexa Bliss or one of the NXT girls (like Carmela once she gets better, presuming she does) carry the belt in NXT for a bit before being called up to the main roster. Further, there is also Becky, Tamina, Naomi (who needs to get better too), and Emma. I feel Emma has a lack of confidence with her run-in with the law and being fired and then rehired and having some not so good matches, but I think if she finds her character, then she can be good; she should be a Heel vixen, per se. Not overtly sexual, but exude more confidence and act like a woman and not a girl or at times: a spacey one too. But, she is funny, I have seen some little vignettes or her and Paige and she is funny, but the clowny-girl does not work; and I am not sure about Becky pushing the “crazy” girl persona; AJ Lee and Mickey James had that down and were great at it; it is not easy to do.

AJ Lee - wweAnd speaking of AJ Lee, rumor is she may come back; and that would be awesome, because now there are wrestlers within the WWE; and she could do well now. She left too early, but for the right reasons; they wanted to douche her, per se with Nikki; and now as well by probably ‘crapping” on her with Nikki beating the her record, which she should NOT do. And who could forget AJ’s “pipe Bomb” in saying that the current ‘divas’ could not even lace up her “Chuck Taylors!” I Miss you AJ!!!! [see: AJ Lee Buries The Women’s Division on 8-26-13]; AJ had 3 great submission moves and her characters were great (all of them), and she clearly LOVED wrestling, so to have her back would be awesome! They need to resign her and have her come out after Sasha wins the belt from Nikki. How great would that be; Sasha relieves Nikki of her long over due reign and then the next night on RAW, Sasha unveils the new belt as she starts the show!!!! And then the following week as Sasha does a promo, AJ Lee skips out and says “she’s back!” AJ and Sasha could partner, and this could usher in the tag-teams for the lady Superstars; not for the entire year, but for 6 months maybe. Charlotte and Natalya could partner, and then Becky and Paige,  Emma and Bayley. And there is Tamina, Alicia, and Naomi around too. Plus, there are other women who are coming up in NXT and a Japanese woman wrestler, named Kana who has been talked about. I have heard good things about Kana, so i hope that she makes a memorable debut and helps in the Women Superstars of now and the future!

Women Superstars Reign

However, if they continue with this push of the Bellas and so-called “divas” malarkey, then it undermines what these Superstar ladies can do and have already accomplished. Stephanie, should pull out of it altogether, and let HHH should control it as he should the WWE unless Shane McMahoncame back, which it appears he will not. So, Vince should retire, but I doubt that he will; he will probably die running the company and I do not wish him any ill will; I just wish his Ego would allow him to step aside. These past 10 years have had the lowest ratings since before the Attitude Era in the WWE. The higher rated WWE shows involved Bryan Danielson or Daniel Bryan, and they basically shunned him and the fans for 3 years until they gave the fans what they wanted.

Now, to come back full circle to the Sasha versus Bayley match, in conjunction with the other 2-3 matches mentioned above, the WWE needs to let them reign. They will not fail, and they have proven that. I also hope that in the next NXT Takeover, that the women are the Main Event. Presumably, Bliss and Bayley could have the title match, so that Bayley can relinquish to her and then come up to the main roster as Sasha and everyone before them has. I just wish for bailey to be called up within a month or two, tops. She should not linger in NXT; In actuality, she should have been called up before Becky, with all due respect; I like Becky too, she is good, but for me, Bayley is a better wrestler. So, between Sasha, Bayley, Charlotte, and Paige, and also Becky, Natayla, and Tamina, there is a great core, and that does not include a possible AJ Lee return or Kanna either.

W08261So, as the “Four Horseman” (Sasha, Bayley, Charlotte, and Becky) stood in the ring, all in tears, and many in the crowd too, they celebrated their craft and discipline to it with each other and the fans, which was received well. Becky and Charlotte came running into the ring when Bayley won and had 4-5 minutes in the ring soaking up the love from the fans. They hugged her and picked her up for a moment, and then Sasha came over and hugged her as they cried in a shared embrace. It was a classy and well-deserved moment.

Furthermore, HUGE props to Bayley as well; she started wrestling in 2008, she is only 26 and made or singed with NXT in 2012. They both made the match and Bayley was just as big as a part of it as Sasha; it always takes two and they helped one another raise the bar of Women’s Wrestling to a high and very respectable level. It was truly 50-50 in this title or Championship match. I hope to see Bayley come out at the next RAW on Monday, September 7th, although, I feel she should have come out on last week’s show (8/31) and let the fans give her much deserved love; the fans even chanted for Sasha in a 6 or 9 person tag match, if I recall correctly. Nevertheless, she should come out and be allowed to hear the fans cheer her and show how thankful they are of her as well as proud too. Then she should be called up within 4-8 weeks tops.

The WWE Women’s Superstars are here, so let them into the dance and let them shine!

WWE/NXT FaceMan Shoots Column (Rise of the “Divas”) – 02 14 15

Welcome WWE Universe to FaceMan Shoots Column on “Divas” and Women’s Wrestling/Wrestlers

FSC is my humble opinions on WWE Superstars (current or former).

The Lowedown WWE NXT Takeover Rival Fatal Four Way Sasha Banks vs Becky Lynch vs Bayley vs Charlotte For NXT Womens Championship

This past Thursday’s NXT’s Arrival: a two-hour special was a very good show. All the matches were goo, however, the three best matches were Finn Balor versus Adrian Neville, Sami Zyan versus Kevin Owen, but the third and best match of the evening or show was the Women’s Fatal Four Way Championship Match. which involved Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch. These four women stole the show as I had hoped that they would; they had tremendous spots and bumps and had a fairly flawless match, in which the fans were completely into the match and all the near falls.

Charlotte had a nice assisted singing neck-breaker on Becky when she was put into the ropes by Charlotte. Sasha had a sweet spot of a double-footed stomp on Becky and Charlotte in the corner of the ring. Bayley had 3-4 wonderful suplexes, which the fans loved. Becky had a few nice spots too, which included a supplex. Sasha and Charlotte had a great near fall prior to the end of the match, in which everyone thought that Sasha had pinned the said Champ, in which she “kicked” out of. Also, Bayley had several of her signature “Bayley to Belly” suplex, in which one of them came form or off of the ropes, which the fans enjoyed!

Overall, the entire match was entertaining and engaging. Theses ladies, who are WRESTLERS, proved/showed what the Women’s and NOT the “Divas division” can and SHOULD be. I.e., the so-called “eye-candy” of the current “Divas” are for the most part not Wrestlers, with exception of Emma, Paige, and Natalya. Alicia Fox has ability as well as Summer Rae, but the need more work or practice; and in regards to the Bellas: they are both OVEREXPOSED or OVER-PUSHED onto the WWE Universe; i.e., it is too much and they are not good wrestlers to compound their uninteresting characters, which are them supposedly being themselves. Nothing personal against them; i do feel that they have gotten better skill-wise in the ring, weigh Nikki being more polished, per se, but both do not seem to be interested in being Wrestlers; they seem more into being with a Top Guy” or “Face”and what that can bring to them; And that is fine, but then they should not be force-fed down the WWE Universe’s throat in constant promos, wasted air-time in matches, and with them “commentating” on other’s matches. And why is Nikki the “Champ” – ummmmm…..

So notwithstanding, now the “divas” can be erased and Women’s Wrestling can manifest. And the above mentioned Women Wrestlers should be known as WWE Superstars and not the lame connoted “Divas” mark. For me, I am excited to think about seeing real Women Wrestling instead of the current pushed and mindless “format” that is now running through the WWE Superstar roster in the main product, in which their is too much scripted promos and silly story-lines, etc., which have plagued the WWE as the ratings have gone down in the past 3-5 years.

If the WWE would allow these women Wrestlers to come up to the main roster and wrestle, then more fans would watch and hail these said Superstars. Then the Women’s Division can transcend and that would push the men to work harder to compliment one another as a brand and as Professional Wrestlers. They all have good characters and they can promote their catch-phrases, etc.; so, I presume that now since Sasha is the Champ that finally Charlotte will be added to the Main Roster the day after Wrestlemania XXXI in April of 2015. Then they can call up Sasha, Bayley, and Becky within he next 6 months. Then Emma and Paige can have real wrestling matches; this can also include Natalya, and possibly Fox and Rae, if they practice and cultivate their in-ring skills more, because Rae and Fox can both be good heels, especially Rae; she gets a lot of ”Heat” and plays off the “Heel” very well, unlike the Bellas. Further, maybe AJ Lee will stick around if they have not already jaded her into leaving, because of her husband’s departure, etc.; but, if she is still wishing to wrestle, which I presume she is not, this could be a great opportunity for her to reinvent herself and character, because I certainly think or feel that CM Punk will be back eventually, maybe even by next years’ Wrestlemania. That could be a great thing; imagine he comes back, and is pissed and demands his Wrestlemania moment; it could be against Vince or HHH or the Authority, etc.; not that it will happen, but it could make for a great “overcoming” storyline akin to Bryan and Stone Cold or yesteryear.

Irrespective, I am very happy for those four ladies who stole the show and underscored Wrestling, which is what the fans truly want. They demonstrated great timing or meter in their match, had great spots and bumps; and assisted in helping one another get over with the crowd. They also showed that they will do what the men do by leaping over the top ropes and onto their opponents standing out of the ring, which can be dangerous when they land on the concrete floors. The match was profession and some current Superstars should take heed in how they should pro form: without fear.

So, hail to the Women Wrestlers of NXT!!!!! And thank you for putting your lives and souls on the line for our entertainment. The true fans appreciate and support you girls and wish to see more of all of you in the main roster sooner than later! And lets forget the derogatory term “Divas” and use the venerated locution of Women Wrestlers!

Thank you for your time, and any “likes” and/or “reposts” as well.

WWE/NXT FaceMan Shoots Column: Royal Rumble Backlash: The Daniel Bryan Legion – 01 27 15

Welcome WWE Universe to FaceMan Shoots Column on Royal Rumble Backlash: The Daniel Bryan Legion

FSC is my humble opinions on WWE Superstars (current or former).

VM RR 2015 3

In the wake of WWE’s 2015 Royal Rumble epic failure in realizing what is clear to the WWE Universe in terms of what and more importantly, who they wish to see be the “Guy/Man” or “Face” or more simply/honestly put: the “People’s Champ” of this era (last 10 years). Now, of course that is the Rock’s heritage, so to speak, but in contemporary times, Bryan IS the People’s Champ and rightfully so, which I will address at the end of the entry; the WWE Universe still pines wholeheartedly for him him to have his Reign as “Champ,” because of the Wrestler that he is, along with his engaging personality of humility and Universality, which is his Interconnectedness between himself and the WWE Universe. As was reported over the Internet in the last 24-36 hours (25th-26th), Vince McMahon, Chairman of the WWE, had stated: [that he was] “legitimately surprised” of said backlash, The Wrestling Observer@EWrestlingNews.com reports.

Yet another example displays the contempt in how the WWE is treating Bryan and handling his return. Detailed in an on-line post@Givemesport.com – WWE Royal Rumble: Vince McMahon surprised by negative fan reaction

 Negative fan reaction

The decision to make Daniel Bryan exit early was always going to get some backlash from fans, which Vince did expect. But according to Meltzer, McMahon and co didn’t expect Roman Reigns’ Royal Rumble win and the returning Rock to get booed so heavily.

“Vince McMahon and WWE officials were surprised at the level of fan backlash over Roman Reigns winning the 2015 Royal Rumble. The WWE had expected some backlash and had prepared for it, however the boos for Reigns’ win was far beyond what anyone envisioned.,” WhatCulture reported.

“They panicked early, they changed a few things,” reported Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio. “Dwayne [The Rock was not happy] was not happy,” he added.”

This is the most ridiculous response from McMahon. To not realize that crossing both Bryan and the WWE Universe would result in a huge backlash just shows that he’s completely lost the plot. Yet again this proves that McMahon really needs to step down and stop making key decisions in WWE.

Safe to say that when even The Rock gets booed something is going terribly wrong.

Related articles

Further, they also had an article about the WWE Universe, or what I deem as the or the BDL (Daniel Bryan Legion), in which said fans started to immediately cancel their membership to the Network at (during) the show as well as at the conclusion of it, and supposedly so much so, that the server crashed, but they may be an Internet myth, however, I would not doubt it. E.g.:

Awful, Awful PPV

The boos were deafening as crowd favorite Daniel Bryan was chucked out of the ring with all the dignity of low card fighters such a Zack Ryder, Adam Rose and Titus O’Neil.

That moment incensed the 17,000 strong crowd at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia who would go on to boo absolutely everybody else who entered the ring, with the jeers getting even more vicious when it became so likely that Roman Reigns was going to win.

#CancelWWENetwork

On top of this, things would get even worse for McMahon and the rest of the WWE bigwigs as the above hashtag, #CancelWWE, has been the top trending subject Worldwide on Twitter ever since the Royal ended.

I can’t wait to hear McMahon excuses and reasonings for scripting the Rumble the way it was, that is if anyone does come out to discuss the chorus boos Sunday’s winner received. I won’t be holding out much hope in all honesty.

Additionally, SeScoops.com reported much the same as did EWrestlingNews.com and WhatCulture.com as mentioned before.

FaceManBuddha Google+ Header

Notwithstanding, to further illuminate this monumental tomfoolery and idiocy, in regards to supposedly “being in touch” and “listening to our fans,” as Mr. McMahon stated when he did a LIVE Podcast interview for Stone Cold’s show@PodcastOne on the #WWENetwork. This is clearly not the case or reality, because as everyone on YouTube (on-line) or in Wrestling Websites, says, “how could Vince think he knows what the fans desire when he, now for the second time in two years, made the same mistake of dismissing Bryan’s ostensible talent, ability, and connection to the WWE Universe that he has. I.e., how could Vince think that having Bryan lose the Royal Rumble, and especially in the foolish manner/way that he was eliminated. Needless to say, Bryan should have won it, but if not, they could have “swerved” the WWE Universe, by having him get screwed by whomever, e.g., the Authority again, or Bray or Lesnar or Heyman, etc., in which he loses, but then get his redemption in the Main Event Champion WM match, in which he regains his title for his first title run or reign. If they did not want him to win, then they should NOT have said he would be in the match to begin with, nor have that match against Kane, which was mandatory for him to be able to compete in the Royal Rumble. Plainly, Vince and his “wit-less reality-team” of writers have absolutely NO clue about Booking, overall, and anything about maintaining continuity in story lines.
This ‘blunderous’ booking, e.g., in having Kane and The Big Show last to the end as they teamed against Roman Reigns, whom nobody in the WWE Universe wants him to be the Face of the WWE right now. I am sure in a year, things will be better for him as he needs some more cultivating with charter, etc.; this does not address the issues of other NXT/WWE Superstars, such as Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, Adrian Neville, not even being in the Royal Rumble, while others were and to the chagrin of the Universe. However, the Rumble did have some cool entries of past Superstars making return, such as Bubba-Ray Dudley (cool), DDP (very cool), Zack Ryder (good to see him again and hopes he gets a break), “da” Boogeyman (Shane-O-Mac’s creation); but, the fans were not at all happy seeing Curtis Axel, Sin Cara, Fandango, Big E, or Tyson Kidd. They all got some boos since Bryan got screwed or douched. I, like most have nothing against any of those Superstars and like them in fact, but in a Rumble, there has to be better thinking or storytelling, in which they soon to be called up or newer guys get a chance to participate in a huge, so-called PPV. In this manner, they get to be in a special event, as well as get air-time. True fans do follow the NXTers, and I am sure they like most of the Universe would have enjoyed or preferred to see newer guys then some of the “stale” ones, per se, meaning the ones that the WWE have effectually have fallen short with because of bad story lines and lack of character development, which is “cookie-cutter” method and thus, controlled now, instead of it being organic like it was back in the 90s. And this is/was a complete lack of foresight overall, which was illuminated by Fred Richani of TSC News (The Sports Courier) during his WWE Royal Rumble 2015 Recap YouTubeChannel post, in which he detailed the mistakes effectively. Moreover, in Sound Off Extra – WWE Royal Rumble 2015 Review (1/27) by The Solomonster in his YouTubeChannel post as well went off about the lack of common sense in the Booking and Writing (Storylines) of this Rumble and expressed how “unbelievable” it was to have the same thing happen two years in a row and with the same guy: i.e., Daniel Bryan, but even more noticeably, how the WWE “did not learn from last year.” And he is correct, as the WWE had to change things completely and inserting him into WMXXX (last year), as well as in two matches, and also giving into the what the WWE Universe yearned for: Daniel Bryan wining the Championship! And this/that, the WWE, seemingly does not get or maybe does not care as many are suggesting on-line, and they very well may be more accurate then inaccurate about. That is something that definitely crosses one’s mind when Bryan was put through hell (which I detailed fully in 2 of my earlier posts: 07 21 14 – Welcome WWE Universe to FaceMan Shoots Column on Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan’s Return & Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan’s Return: 12 29 2014 @WWE/NXT FaceMan Shoots Column (The Return of Bryan Danielson) – 01 01 15), for almost two years until he won the belt last year, only to have it stripped from him on a bogus reason, after his father died, and after career-threatening neck surgery, and then have to deal with complications due to damaged nerves, and now, to get eliminated after being in the Rumble for less than 10 minutes and be out of Wrestlemania’s Main Event…this does not even mention that Vince supposedly told some reporters when asked about the backlash, that “they” were not going to change or amend anything as that would be “repeating last year’s” story. To which I replied rhetorically to myself, “Is this being said by the man who has PUSHED the storyline of oppression by the Authority as well as ANY Bella storyline to NAUSEAM, as well as the terrible story lines of Brayn and Brie that involved Kane—so, Vince is out-of-touch and tha is an understatement. And Aaron Rift of NoDQ.com in his YouTubeChannel post WWE Royal Rumble 2015 PPV results and highlightsreinforced or was in agreement with the aforementioned others. All contend and feel that this was yet again another blunder by the “powers that be,” whomever ”they” are (i.e., Vince), now, once again, have to “right the ship,” as they did last yea, and to which The Solomonster recently reported (1/27’s posting) that Daniel Bryan had admitted recently in an interview that he was not supposed to be a headliner at last year’s WrestleMania (XXX); that he was a mid-carder and the only reason why the plans changed was because of the WWE Universe who voiced displeasure with the WWE in regards to Bryan’s situation, and thus, altered the plans; it was supposed to be just Batista and Orton for the title, but we, the fans, forced a necessary amendment that made WMXXX one of the best of all time.
Now, Bryan can feud with Seth Rollins (formerly Tyler Black@match here), Antonio Cesaro (Claudio Castagnoli) to whom he had many great memorable matches on the “Indy-scene” (see match 1 here & match 2 here), as well as his obvious chemistry with Bray Wyatt (formally Husky Harris of NXT), and now also with the WWE/NXT, pseudo “rookie” or really seasoned veteran and Superstar of Japan, Kenta, whom Bryan worked with in Japan in his Indy career (see match here). Not to mention Bryan’s huge desire to work with Brock Lesnar, which he reinforced by saying in several random interviews in the past year, by saying that he felt that “they could do something really special” and “something that has never been seen before.” And I agree with him, and not to mention, what a WrestleMania XXXI Championship match! Further, he and Sami Zayn, NXT’s Champion, aside from having wonderful chemistry, have a history in the Indies together, which include some awesome matches too as Zayn too has had with the aforesaid Cesaro. So, why Vince is not made aware of this, or fails to recognize it, is beyond my understanding and it is either him being stubborn or hiim losing his mental faculties, which I doubt; he is a clearly a very smart and shrewd man, but I think his very large Ego, which he admits to, is sadly getting the best of him, which IS NOT BEST FOR BUSINESS!
So now, Vince and his “baby,” the WWE, have to amend their or his very inept decisions and “right the ship.” They (or Vince) HAVE to now make a special match for Bryan to have the chance to compete in the Main Event for the tile, so maybe another Triple-Threat Match? Unless they wake up and do the match that Bryan, and probably Lesnar wants, i.e., a match between them: a “David and Goliath” of sorts. The build-up for their match would be amazing, because Bryan would have to keep overcoming the rode-blocks put forth by the Authority and his rising to the challenges over the Authority, which will once again, endear him even more to the fans (like he is not now, lol). Not to mention, it would make Bryan look very strong as the regaining Champion in defeating Brock whom is the only one to have defeated the Undertaker at WM as we all know. Actually, I wish Shane-O-Mac (Shane McMahon) would return and really take care (fix) the WWE, but at least at first anyway, come back and help Bryan out by righting the very wrongs that his Dad, his brother-in-law and sister have perpetrated against DB. Yet another way to fix this, which many may argue against, but when Bryan got “eliminated” by a Bray Wyatt punch, which knocked him off of the ring’s apron and onto the floor; should not have counted, because one has to be thrown OVER the TOP ROPE, which is not the case; he was originally thrown over, but Bryan caught the rope and stood there while holding onto the rope until being knocked off with a punch. So again, he never got thrown over the top rope, which is the ONLY way that one can be eliminated. So, will Vince have the huge “grapefruits” that he always claims that he has, and point out this overlooked scenario to the WWE Universe, and put Db into another qualifying match that he has to win; that would be the easiet fix. Plus, Vince could get some dignity back by coming out to the audience and thus, the Universe via the television and point out this wrongdoing and how unfair it is or was and that he is going to fix it; he would get a great Pop and be seen as helping Bryan. Of course I am not suggesting that this is superior storytelling, but it does allow what needs to happen: Bryan getting back in the Championship Match and wining his title back for his over-due title reign.

Daniel bryan yes by the jackanapes d4wvzxmSo now, the People’s Champ (DB or Bryan) is ready for his reign. The Legion are behind him once again. And if he is not considered today’s People’s Champ, then no one will probably ever come close to being. Even the Rock, who I am sure would not like to admit it, that Bryan is NOW what he (the Rock) was THEN and that is awesome really! Daniel, like the Rock, has a special connection with the fans, which is true and intimate. Bryan is different of course, but intrinsically they share that affinity of rightfully being the Champion of the People. And the two belts or titles that Bryan won in WMXXXX, and held shortly I might add, truly represents an adoration and a continued and almost unwavering support that the WWE Universe has developed genuinely for DB through his hard work and ”high-octaned” styled that he showcases every night. And the reason he does it: he LOVES Wrestling/Sport’s Entertainment and being that Wrestle/Superstar, is Bryan truly being himself: The Dragon. “YES! YES! YES!” — “Dan-yulh-Bry-an! — Dan-yulh-Bry-an — Dan-yulh-Bry-an” and of course: “Thank you Bryan…you deserve it!’

Thank you for your time, and any “likes” and/or “reposts” as well.

WWE/NXT FaceMan Shoots Column: 辰道 Tatsudō: Dragon’s Way/Way of the Dragon – 01 10 15

Welcome WWE Universe to FaceMan Shoots Column on Bryan Danielson/Daniel Bryan’s Return@WWERoyalRumble2015

FSC is my humble opinions on WWE Superstars (current or former).

辰道 Tatsudō (Dragon’s Way/Way of the Dragon)

0 bryan danielson picture 18 d 1

Certainly to the WWE Universe, this is obvious. The charters seem to be “cookie-cuttered,” per se; they are primed too much and then scripted to the point of their character’s assignation. Further, their are supposed struggles, in at least some ways between Triple HHH and Vince McMahon. Who knows maybe Stephanie is the proverbial middle: trying not to choose her Father over her husband and vice versa. Regardless, it does seem like Vince is still “running” the ship, and with an “Iron Fist” of sorts since none of the WWE Superstars continue with their “handed” and arguable “forced lines” to bellow. And albeit that there are bright spots, so to speak, such as “The Lunatic Fringe,” Dean Ambrose, Mr. Money in the Bank: Seth Rollins, Luke Harper, Bray Wyatt (still, although, not as relevant for the moment with fans), the Face of the Company: John Cena (and the other big names returning soon: Randy Orton and Dave Batista), the former IC Champion: Dolph Ziggler, The Usos, Gold and Stardust (again, not so relevant at the present), the wonderfully entertaining antics of Miz-dow or more accurately: Damien Sandow, and there is still Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, not to mention, the soon to be on the Active Roster: Sami Zayn and Adrain Neville; plus, certain “Divas,” e.g., Paige, AJ (although, she seems to be on the way out, sadly), Natalya, Charlotte Flair, Sasha, Bayley, and Emma. . So, with the above considered, Bryan will fortunately only ror just have to be himself, which he is great at; and if the WWE Universe does not warm up to him, for whatever reason, then he can turn and be a Heel, which he enjoys and discusses briefly in Daniel Bryan Wizard World Panel Full, which I review later on in this entry/column. And as he originally did when he won the title the first time by cashing in his MIB briefcase, he obnoxiously started to scream/yell “YES!” emphatically to the fans in happiness for himself in reaching his profession goal. Then as the fans “warm-up” to him, meaning, they realized how hard this guy is working and has been for, at that point, 2-3 years within the WWE, not including his 10-year independent career prior to that. Then his personality came through as the WWE Universe came to know how much of a fan he was himself and how he came into the WWE. People did their research on him via YouTube and Google, and found his storied career prior to the WWE and his name being inverted, so to speak.

However, a good base knew of him and his background, unbeknownst to the majority of WWE fans. Bryan Danielson: the Dragon, a.k.a., Daniel Bryan is set to return to the WWE, and therefore, compete for the Gold again, even though that is an issue I mention shortly, will come back and basically start “all over again.” In other words or in the sense that he will have to manifest that same vibe he had prior to his unfortunate departure this past May/June. And that may not be so easily done, not that will stop him, but he has been out for what seems like eons to the WWE Universe and the WWE’s lack of quality or revenant Storylines as well as the heavily reported by many of the so-called “dirt sheets” and YouTube Channels, independent and sponsored, have underscored that Vince is still in dominance as to how the entire product is being portrayed, presented, and created. All of which, sadly, to most of the WWE Universe have soundly conveyed their unhappiness with the overall direction of the company and what is presented 3-4 nights a week, on Cable and the WWE Network. But, according to the Chairman of the Board himself, Vincent J. Kennedy McMahon, “he is in touch with the audience,” not to mention, he says that the Superstar roster “are not as friendly with one another’ as the “Attitude Era Superstars were.” However, many of the reports, rumors, periodicals, etc., the Superstars are afraid of reprisals for opening their mouths or what would be seen as complaining.

So, Bryan could play the “You all turned or forgot me and who I am,” or go the humble route, which is him, i.e., just wrestle and vow to get “his Championship” back as it was wrongly and unjustifiably stripped form him on unwarranted and groundless demands or “unlawful” basis; this would garner the fan-base to get right behind him without having to push any Storyline, because this is the manifested Story since they, meaning “The Authority,” took the belt away from him as they currently allow the reigning Champion, Brock Lesnar to not compete and arbitrarily show up, both of which means, he is not a “defending Champion” as said authority used as the main grounds to take away or usurp his Championship victory and thus, his title, and subsequent Reign, which never was. And now with “The Authority” being reinstated by John Cena, this can and SHOULDmanifest and be allowed to FINALLY play out to its fruition. Not to mention, Cena, being the one who let the Evil Empire have their power back, the entire WWE Superstar Roster, with exception of a few, should all “turn” on Cena as a “leader” in the lockeroom; this could or would be a great Storyline that can have many of the Superstars remind him that he (Cena) lied and broke his promise, and what is worse, that it was to the WWE Universe: the one that he said he never lie or let down. They should give him grief and mock him as well as challenge him backstage and in the ring. This could then lead to Cena’s inevitable, and long over due Heel Turn. Cena can then use the premise that the Universe turned on him and it ate him up and his lost his way, etc.; now, in regards to The Dragon, Bryan can also have anticipated feuds with Brock, Cesaro as he did in the “Indies,” Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins (both in the Indies/NXT too), not to mention, Sami Zayn (Indies/NXT), and what about Harper, Rusev, and a WrestleMania against his of his Mentor’s Shawn Michael (if he has one more match in him, which I doubt), maybe even with Ricky, The Dragon Steamboat beside Bryan! The aforesaid WWE Superstars mentioned were illuminated in WWTV’s post Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan – Wrestlemania! Rhodes/Dave Meltzer Heat?! – WTTV News – YouTube @ 1:08 to 1:46 minute mark, in which he states: “One of the things that kills me about this is if I were champion right now, I’d be wrestling Brock Lesnar and that’s the match I’ve always wanted; I feel like we could do something completely different that people [wouldn’t] have seen before in the United States. That’s the match I really, really, want.” And I concur DB!!!

Daniel Bryan Wizard World Panel Video Post

Daniel Bryan WWE Champion Wizard World Panel Full

The other day, via my YouTube Subscriptions, i came across a great short video (52 minutes) of Bryan from Aaron’s Rift  NoDq.com titled: Daniel Bryan Wizard World Panel Full @NoDq.com on 11/02/2015 &/or Oct. 2015@YouTube; it is a very good and if one is a fan of “D.B.,” then one will thoroughly enjoy this video. In it, Bryan speaks of his beard (he’s keeping it), and a story from William Regal and the “Dazzler”; but, one of the best moments of this video came at the 4:38 minute-mark from a WWE Universe fan doing Randy Macho-Man Savage (in character) as he posed a question to Bryan, to which the entire place was laughing at whilst they enjoyed this person’s spoon imitation. Nonetheless, Bryan seemed to really enjoy it, and for me, it was one of the best imitations of Savage that I have heard; and on another side-note that is related to said point, there are so many WWE Superstars that do an impression of Macho-Man, which clearly underscores the love and admiration for the posthumous Savage. This only lasts for a minute, but it is very funny.

Bryan also discusses the difference between the Independent scene and the WWE. In short, he talks about energy of the two. He was also was asked about Storylines of him and if there were any that he wished “played out differently,” to which he replied: “WMXXVIII”; this was referring to his match with Sheamus at said event, in which he lost to Sheamus in 18-seconds, which led to Bryan, the following night, addressing the WWE Universe a the Post WMXXVIII Monday Night RAW show Dark Match on April, 2nd, 2012. It was a six-man tag match that night, in which Bryan was so “OVER” with the WWE Universe since they had been supporting him in his  pinning for Gold in those past two years, and also since the fans endured him being screwed out of a meaningful match with Sheamus the night before. He mentions that it was “Brutal” to lose his title in 18-seconds, and without them (Bryan and Sheamus) doing “anything/nothing,” especially with so many people coming or expecting to see a match between them; however, there was a saving-grace or a sort of redemptive factor, which happened the aforementioned night on April 2, 2012, in a now infamous Dark Match; one in which the fans would not allow him to be tagged out, and when he was, the WWE Universe chanted “WE WANT BRYAN!” as well as “YES!-YES!-YES!” and also booing others in the match until Bryan got tagged back in. The other Superstars, such as Randy Orton, Big Show, Sheamus, Kane, and Cody Rhodes, all were laughing and seemingly in some type of “awe,” especially upon his entrance into the match, in which he was last, they experienced how beloved Bryan is or was then. And in regards to this, Bryan stated that, “It was “great,” and how “special” it was for him to receive all that support/love from the WWE Universe. He also admits that if the fans had not expressed their support for him that night, then a Tee shirt would have never been made, meaning the WWE were not going to make one until after that show of overwhelming support, hence, his joke that night about them (the WWE) making a new tee and everyone buying it.

Byran also talks about performing in Tokyo, Japan, and how “amazing” that was and an “honor” as well; not to mention, how he got an opportunity in the WWE via other Superstar’s injuries, so he illuminated the luck or fortunate aspect in his career, which he is humbled for; plus, he pointed out that many other great or “talented” wrestlers never get a chance/opportunity. On another note, in regards to performance, he says that he enjoys being a “Heel” more since he can do anything that he wants, which made himself laugh. Further, he mentions his training and matches with William Regal whom he admires very much. Bryan was also asked who he liked traveling with the most in is career; he answered, with a smile: Cesaro, and pointed out how horrible or “rotten” Cesaro’s jokes are, lol. And when asked for Ryback stories by fans, he laughed tried to think of one, but then declined out of respect. Someone else asked him how he feels about the Divas Division, which he addresses a little in his reply; and when asked who would be his dream opponent, he replied “Without a doubt, Shawn Michaels.”  Another person posed the question: what are some of his favorite moments working with other Susperstars in his career, to which he replied quickly: Kane, as he brought up the “Hug it out” scenario, which the fans voted on/for, and in which, he enjoyed and added that he had “a lot of fun doing the Anger Management segments” and “Doctor Shelby ones too.”

Thank you for your time, and any “likes” and/or “reposts” as well.
